Kelley and Nathan’s wedding brought me out of my “post-motherhood retirement” and I am thankful to them for that as it was a joy.  If I had to capture the day in a couple words I think they would be raw/real/beautiful.  Without a doubt, this wedding tops the list of the most naturally heart-expressive weddings I have ever been a part of and I found myself eating up every moment of photographing a couple so in tune with each other and themselves that they really seemed to forget I was even there.  I must say I am not surprised by this, however, as I met Kelley during her final year as a counseling student here in St. Louis where she has subsequently invested her gifts while Nathan continues his studies.  I have no doubt that this marriage will be equally as raw/real/beautiful as the wedding which is an absolute pleasure to know.  Blessing to you both.  Enjoy the top 10:

While it feels somewhat wrong to admit this publicly some weddings just truly are more, well….fun.  Without a doubt, this was one of those weddings and it was a blessing to be a part of a day like this one.  It was a privilege to have been able to shoot some photos for Marta’s support cards a few months back as she considered long-term work in England.  However, I think that I am one of many people who love the fact that the Lord had a different plan for her time in London than she may have realized .  Thus, just a few months later I had the immense pleasure of documenting their wedding day and knowing that they will bring much joy wherever they go.  Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your special day!

Before I attempt to describe the Murphree’s to you, I offer to you my personal favorite photo from their wedding day as I think that it does a better job of communicating the joy, beauty, and life that I see in these two than I will ever be able to communicate with words:

We met these two dear friends while working on our MA at Covenant Seminary and if you’ve ever felt particularly “drawn” to someone without really knowing why at first then you will understand something about how we feel about these two.  April and Daniel’s lives serve as an encouragement to many as they humbly follow the example of our Savior and serve our community as gifted educators, leaders, artists, and friends.  They give their whole lives to people and the joy that radiates from them as a result makes them truly refreshing people to be around.  We hope that you enjoy the sneak peek from their recent wedding and even more we hope that you have the experience to get to know these two friends of ours as we are confident that your lives would only be the better for it!

After a rocky pre-wedding week complete with car wreck and seizure, Tommy and Kristin had a peaceful wedding day filled with family and long-time friends.  We are always thankful to be a part of weddings where there is an extensive history between the bride and the groom.  These two certainly have some history and some funny stories to go along with it [including the most interesting proposal I've ever heard!]  Thank you all for letting us be a part of your special day, we hope that you enjoy your sneak peek and look forward to hearing how you are doing post-wedding!

To my surprise, birth stories have become one of my favorite things in the world to document.  So, thank you to the beautiful Plunk family for letting me be a part of such a special time today– it was an incredible blessing!
